Simple Setup

HOW IT WORKS

Load it

Twist off the base ring and drop in 2 x AA batteries. Twist it back.

Aim It

Bend the gooseneck so the blades sweep directly over the food; a serving platter, a cheese board, a fruit bowl, a plate of burgers.

Switch It On

The blades start their slow rotation. Flies approaching from any direction hit moving air and moving reflection, and break off. That's the whole job.

Prevention, not cleanup

A swatter, a zapper and a strip all deal with the fly after it's been on your food. This one stops the landing in the first place. Nothing to kill, nothing to wipe up, nothing to explain to your guests.

Nothing chemical goes anywhere near the table

Great for the ranch porch

We keep chickens close to the house so flies are constant. The bugs stay off the serving dishes completely. The gooseneck lets me point the airflow exactly where the food is. Use them indoors and outdoors both. Best thing we have bought for outdoor eating.

Solid little fans

They work. A few things keep it from five stars. No chemicals is the main reason I keep using them. The base is light and slides if someone bumps the table. Worth it in spite of the small stuff.

Wind cancels them out

It depends entirely on where you use them. The gooseneck on mine will not hold its position anymore. It droops down toward the table. No chemicals and nothing to clean up, which I do appreciate. They come out occasionally, not every meal.

Bought a second set already

Bought a set after seeing them on a friend's patio table. Set it near the fruit bowl and the fruit flies gave up. Portable enough that it goes from kitchen to patio to truck. Set them up at the barn when we are working through lunch. Buying more as gifts this Christmas.

Would buy again with notes

Does the job well in the right conditions. They work indoors and outdoors both. The neck is stiffer than I expected. Bending it feels like it might snap even though it has not. None of that outweighs how well they work.
